Inside the Mind of a Pro: João Vieira is almost there

There are only 2 players left between the Portugese pro and the coveted WSOP bracelet.

Inside the Mind of a Pro Joao Vieira 3
Folks, we have almost reached our destination. This 15th episode of Inside the Mind of a Pro is also the last to focus on the $5,000 Short-Handed event of the 2019 WSOP. After spending a few rounds with Davidi Kitai (4 episodes), after cheering and screaming and ultimately weeping for Pierre Calamusa (7 episodes), we have tasked João Vieira to bring us behind the finish line of one of the toughest tournaments of the summer.

We're not exactly spoiling anything by revealing that after this episode, there won't be anything left to add about this tournament and our Portuguese Pro's performance. You already know that there are only 3 players left at this stage. You already know that João has been putting on a dominating performance since we started paying close attention to him during Day 3. You already know that João has never been more ready for a moment that he has been waiting for his entire career.

What's left to find out is: will João's impressive demonstration of talent, concentration and patience we've witnessed in the last 3 episodes get paid off with what would be his very first WSOP title? In order to reach that goal, João will need to go past a serious obstacle: Joe Cada, the 2009 Main Event champion, who is at this very moment seeking a 5th bracelet, and is sitting behind a huge stack.

If you are late to the party, welcome! You're in for a treat... but before watching today's new episode, we strongly advise you to rewind back to the start of the season, in order to get comfortable with what the show is all about.
