It's already signed and sealed: with 100 tournaments and 7 million euros guaranteed, your favourite online poker festival will break all it's own records from the 4th to the 14th September 2016.

From Sunday 4th until Thursday 14th September, the Winamax Series is back on Winamax for a sixteenth edition full of promise. With seven million euros guaranteed, the festival will surpass it's previous records: this never-before-seen prizepool will be distributed across 100 tournaments. Yes, you've read it correctly, 100 Events in No-Limit Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha, with buy-ins of €5 to €1,000. Sure to bring in all kinds of players.

As with each new edition, our teams have worked their socks off to bring to you some new features. The Series therefore gets underway with a fanfare in a Monster Stack tournament which, as the name suggests, gives you a huge starting stack of 50,000 chips (compared to the usual 20,000). It's little brother, in 6-Max format then arrives the following Sunday, and both events have truly affordable buy-ins of just 10 euros.

Another newbie: Event 2, with a format copied from the Main Event, with four Day 1s from Sunday to Tuesday. There are however three differences: 6-Max tables for even more action, a buy-in divided by three to make 50 euros, and double the guaranteed prizepool now standing at 200,000 euros. Sure to be one of the highlights of this Series.

For the rest, you can expect the same formula that made the fifteenth edition such a success, namely a host of tournaments in all shapes and sizes, tha majority of which are re-entry (except shootouts), as well as the first Sunday Surprise of the Series being played 6-Max, and the second Progressive Knockout. This latter format will be prevalent throughout, with no less than fifteen different events played in this style from the affordable (Events 9 or 82, €10), to the elitist (Events 43 or 80, €300).

You'll close out the festival, as has been the custom for the last three years, with the Rolls-Royce of Winamax Series tournaments: the Million Event with one million euros guaranteed. The recipe remains the same: four starting days, 150 euros to buy-in, a plethora of satellites to qualify, and a happy winner who will enter into Winamax legend.
