Ivan Derya shone through by taking down our most prestigious tournament last Sunday, which was an eventful day with over €750,000 shared out in prizes.

Ssurprise

SUNDAY SURPRISE €10 - 8,224 buy-ins (1,785 re-entries) - Prizepool €74,016

It seems this chilly winter is making you all want to escape to a tropical paradise! Over 8,000 buy-ins were accounted for in this edition of the Sunday Surprise, which was offering an incredible prize of a sunny trip next to the Caribbean Sea in Colombia, in addition to the hefty sum reserved for first place. Our grand winner this week was fredo1962 who had already bagged a title in the Summer Shots festival in April 2016, and will be able to go and work on his tan with the €11,658 he managed to negociate heads-up with Waul Patson (€9,297). -GABAO-STAR- (€6,289) and JenyetKylian (€4,772) completed our illustrious podium.

Ivan Deyra adds the Grand Tournament to his trophy cabinet

GRAND TOURNAMENT €1,000 - 160 buy-ins (37 re-entries) - Prizepool €152,000

"Ah! Haven't won this one yet... There we go!" This is how we would resume the incredible feat made by our champion who won our biggest tournament to complete his trophy cabinet. Main, Event, HighRoller, XTASE, XTREM and now the Grand Tournament: Ivan Derya has now won all of our regular tournaments, and that's without counting his triple victory in the Winamax Series. With this victory in our most prestigious monthly tournament, he wins €41,040 and solidifies his place in Winamax history. He won this title just three days after his incredible back-to-back victory in the WSOP Circuit Heads-Up Challenge at the Cercle Clichy-Montmartre. We are out of adjectives to describe this performance: this guy is clearly a machine. Congrats bro!

IvanDeyra

The final table was not an easy one to navigate through and Ivan had to put up a fight to take down this tournament which is reserved for our top sharks. FNiuR was the first to leave the final table after a dozen hands (7th, €5,700), followed by Perrymejsen, who was unfortunate enough to lose a 70/30 (6th, €8,360). KESKILA was the first to pocket a five-figure sum for his fifth place finish (€11,400). Our regular Kroat. left us in fourth place for €15,200 and thus the podium was ready to be populated by players. Having been a large chip leader throughout the final table, Toufik94110 came face-to-face with ValueMerguez who had already decided to shine through: he fell in third for €19,380. This was followed by a duel lasting 80 hands which quickly saw our Team Pro take the advantage, who had 90% of the chips in play and didn't leave Kevork78 with a single chance. The last hand perfectly illustrated how fate had already assigned the victory to ValueMerguez: he goes all-in with two-pair against a higher two-pair and wins the title by making a flush on the river. After 6h30mins of play and just under 150 hands on the final table, Ivan Deyra earns our respect and a solid pat on the back. Hats off to you sir.

WSOP-C

WSOP-Circuit Online Event: kicking off with a bang!

The WSOP-Circuit Online Event has nothing to be jealous of with his big brother at the Cercle Clichy-Montmartre: yestaerday, there were 1,178 buy-ins accounted for in Days 1A and 1B. Thus, the prizepool has already reached a total of €330,000 out of the €500,000 guarantee, with three additional Day 1s to be played on Monday and Tuesday at 20:00 CET and Wednesday at 18:00 CET (Turbo). It seems this guarantee is going to be blasted through and the prizepool significantly raised. Satellites are still scheduled to allow you to win your €300 entry fee for a more modest sum, and the €6 Expresso Qualifiers will still be running consistently until Wednesday at 18:00 CET. You have the choice to qualify and join the 173 other players already registered for Day 2, including a certain... Ivan Derya, who will resume the tournament with 171,000 chips. Unstoppable we tell you!

K4KtuS_cAr stings his opponents

Cactus

It seemed best to avoid coming into contact with K4KtuS_cAr in the HighRoller: the player treated himelf to a hefty €14,409 payday after agreeing to a deal with the machine t0602 heads-up (€11,200). This victory must come as a relief after his frustrating but profitable third place finish in Event 82 of the latest Winamax Series for over €15,000. KO-Machine completes the podium and pockets €7,252. Also to be noted: an eighth place finish by our very own ValueMerguez.

In the XTREM, al-pas-cino showed who was the real Godfather and escaped with €10,312, after making an offer that IdoCollect could not refuse head-to-head (€9,062 after deal). lusyl974 bows down on the third step of the podium for €5,195.

AcesPheres was crowned our champion in the XTASE, with no deals made. He leaves with €9,544 after getting the best of his opponent, our talented reg Pal0mbaggia (€5,961). Another strong regular at our tables falls in third place: Shuusui, who pockets the not-so-modest sum of €4,297.
