Adrián Mateos is looking sharp for his TV appearance. His perfect run so far in the WSOP Main Event has seen him reach Day 5 with a massive stack of 4.5 million chips (180 BB) with 464 players remaining. He doesn't necessarily know it before arriving at the Horseshoe - perhaps he suspects it given his status and huge stack? - but La Máquina will start the day at the feature table. On the one hand, this is a disadvantage for the Spaniard, as the game is often slower there. And the Madrid native has every interest in playing as many hands as possible to make the most of his edge. But it can also be a big advantage, as his experience at televised tables can make all the difference against players who are more easily impressed.
