Judging François Pirault's performance in last week's episode is, in essence, an assessment of his personality. Optimists will have said that the field in the $5,000 8-max has dropped from 114 to 57 players, and that François is still sitting pretty at the table. Great! The pessimists will retort: yes, the field has been halved in one episode, but so has our hero's stack. Ouch! And the realists will dismiss these thoughts with a wave of the hand: this is poker, guys! With 22 blinds, anything can happen. One way or the other!
