Inside the Mind of a Pro: Mateos wants to break the bubble

63 players remaining for 61 paid positions: in the $10,000 WSOP 6-max event, we're about to enter the money.

Inside the Mind of a Pro Adrian Mateos WSOP 2022 #25Episode 24 ended with Adrián Mateos' bluff colliding with Daniel Rezaei's all-in river raise. Forced to give up his Ace high (and a nice stack of chips) to his dangerous Austrian opponent, our hero fell to 60 blinds, just as the bubble was officially announced, with 63 players left for 61 paid seats.

60 blinds: a nice stack, certainly... but far from being the biggest in this very deep-stacked event that is the WSOP $10,000 6-max. And as we all know: at the bubble, the size of your stack dictates whether you can impose your rhythm. Will the maquina, relegated to the middle of the pack, have to sit back and play a secondary role as one of the most crucial phases of the tournament begins? That would be the wrong way to go about it. As you will see in this episode, the Spaniard does not need a chip-leader stack to inspire fear and respect in his opponents, who are also seasoned professionals.
