Having joined the chip-leaders club on Day 1 of the $5,000 Freezeout, On_The_Road has no intention of stopping there.

Perhaps that first appearance on Inside the Mind of a Pro a few weeks ago was just a warm-up round. After that mini-deep run - complete with a min-cash - in the $3,000 Freezeout tournament (you watched him in episodes 7-10 of this season dedicated to the WSOP 2022), François Pirault didn't have to wait long before receiving another call from the R2D2 team.

The series' producers called him to the field of another Freezeout (this time $5,000) to replace Pierre Calamusa, who left too soon, and On_The_Road did the new selection proud by taking the chip lead in the first few hours of play. More than 700 players are in the running: there is still a long way to go, even if only to get through Day 1. But it is with tenfold excitement that we find our hero at the beginning of the last third of the day, equipped with a very comfortable stack of 240,000 at blinds of 1,000 / 2,000.
